
Bishop Solomon L. Humes, Senior Pastor
Born in New
Providence, Bahamas
along with his twin John Nathaniel to Nathaniel and Elsaida Humes, Solomon
Lincoln received his early education from St. Barnabas Day School, Southern
Junior and Senior
School
and St.
Augustine College.
He was an Altar Boy at St.
Barnabas Anglican Church for 14 years. He was converted in February 1975
at the Church
of God
of Prophecy, Meadow
Street, New Providence.
He has served the Meadow
Street
Church
in numerous areas of ministries. He was ordained Deacon in March
1989. He was appointed Associate Pastor of that Church in March
1996.
In March 1999 he was ordained
Bishop and was appointed Senior Pastor of the Church.
He was employed by S. G. Hambros
Bank in 1970. He is a member of the London Institute of Bankers, (Trustee
Diploma). He remained there until 2000 to go into full time ministry.
He is District Overseer of Acklins,
Bahamas;
President of Saints Security, Administrator of the Provident Fund, A member of
the National Board of Trustees and serves on various National Committees.
He is a marriage officer and a Justice of the Peace of the Bahamas.
In March 2006 he was appointed Pastor of the Minnie Street
Church.
He is married to Patricia Rosetta
Wilson and they are the parents of Linrose, Solomon Jr., Patrick, and
son-in-law Levorn Morris.
