Profile of Carlson A. Arthur

 

He was born to Ralph and Alice Arthur in the settlement of Pine Ridge on the Island of Grand Bahama.

He was educated at Spring City Public School, Abaco;  attended High School at Bahamas Baptist College;  furthered his education at C. R. Walker Technical College, College of The Bahamas, and Northwood  Institute.

An Accountant by profession, he is Managing Director of his Accounting Firm Carleni Business Services.  

He is a member of the Association of International Accountants (London); member of the Association of Cost and  Executive Accountants (London); and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Carlson is married to Enid Arthur.  They have two children, Carlesa and Carnid and one grandchild, Angela.

In 1977 he rededicated his life to the Lord and became a  member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Minnie Street.  He has served in many positions in his local church - Treasurer, Office Administrator, Men’s Fellowship Director, Sunday School Assistant Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Ministries Director, and as Organist, to name a few.

Over the years he has completed various Bible Training courses offered by the Church and was licensed as a Minister in December, 2003.   During the 84th Annual National Convention of The Church of God of Prophecy, held March 2005, he was appointed to serve the Church as District Overseer for the Island of San Salvador.  During the 85th Annual National Convention held March, 2006, he was appointed to serve as Associate Pastor of the Minnie Street Church.
